ACADEMICS

Before getting involved with Greek Life, many of us questioned if we were able to balance both the commitment of sorority life as well as excel in our academics. As our chapter ensures for all members that they focus on their academics and are successful in all that they do above anything else. We provide our members with the resources to maintain high academics through study hours, study groups, prizes and the opportunity to get educational assistance from other sisters. In Spring 2020, our chapter was tied for having the most 4.0's of UNI sororities!

Many of our sisters take the adventure of gaining real life experiences and exposure to diverse cultures through traveling abroad. We have had sisters travel to Greece, Africa, Italy, France, Spain and England.

CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT

Besides our sisters being greatly involved in Gamma Phi Beta, they are highly involved in other organizations on campus as well. A majority of our sisters are active participants on our campus through being engaged in social, professional, service, academic-based student organizations. Some of the organizations include NISG, Dance Marathon, UNI swim team, on campus ministries, Order of Omega, Club Volleyball, UNI cheer, CATS, Pre Med Club, Nonprofit Leadership Alliance and many more.

As Gamma Phi Beta's we strive to be fully engaged and successful not only in our academics, chapter and social life but also in our extracurriculars at the University of Northern Iowa.

VOLUNTEERING

Volunteerism is fundamental while being a sorority woman as we are philanthropic in all that we do. Gamma Phi Beta's strive to not only volunteer and support our philanthropic partner, Girls on the Run as well as many other nonprofit organizations around the world. These opportunities are beneficial experiences to our growth as we network with professionals, learn life long skills, immerse ourselves into other cultures and learn the the importance of helping and serving others. Our sisters are encouraged to volunteer a total of eight hours per semester while many of our sisters go above and beyond that.
